Groveport Farmer’s Market
The Groveport Farmer’s Market enters its last month of its fourth season. The new location at Groveport Elementary School, 715 Main St., has proven to be a very positive move for vendors and shoppers alike. We have been blessed since June to have a wonderful variety of products at the market including homegrown produce, fresh baked breads and pies, beautiful flowers, delicious sauces and salsas, awesome apple butter, and more! The market is held every Thursday, 5-7 p.m. Final market day for 2008 is Thursday, Aug. 28.
Bierberg Mercantile
Effective Aug. 4, the Bierberg Mercantile at 607 Main St. will begin new hours of operation as follows: closed on Sunday/Monday, open 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Thursday, and 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday.

•Tickets and t-shirts for the Groveport Madison High School "Return to Glory" football game on Friday, Aug. 22 against Worthington Kilbourne at the Crew Stadium in Columbus. •Ferne’s Attic from Canal Winchester is joining the mercantile in August with Rabbit Creek gourmet food items, Mostly Sincere figurines, Robert Warren oil paintings and a variety of OSU fan paraphernalia
•We also welcome to the mercantile Super Suppers with delicious, pre-made, carry-out dinner selections, perfect for the quick pick-up dinner on those nights you don’t have anything planned or prepared.
•Purse Swap returns to the Bierberg Mercantile on Thursday, Aug. 14, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Go green with your purses and swap your gently used purse with someone else’s gently used purse and go home with something new! Bring a buddy and receive a special gift. Door prizes every 10 minutes. Food available too!
Groveport Madison Adopt-A-Family
A fundraiser golf outing to support the GMAAF project is planned for Saturday, Sept. 13 at The Links at Groveport Golf Course, 1005 Richardson Road. Start time is 2:30 p.m. with an all-you-can-eat tailgate buffet following golf just in time to watch the OSU vs USC football game on the big screen TV. Team cost including golf and dinner is $260 for four. Tailgate buffet is available to everyone for only $12.95 pp. Play golf and invite your non-golfer family/friends to meet you at the Links for the game. Call 836-7939 for more information.
