The London Rotary Club is pleased to honor senior Isaiah Jones as London High School’s March Student of the Month.

Students of the month are selected by school administrators based on their academic and extracurricular achievement and positive character.

Isaiah has a 4.21 grade point average, is ranked 11th in his class and states his favorite class is mathematics. He is on the Merit Honor Roll and serves as vice president of the National Honor Society.

Isaiah is a four-year member of the varsity football team and has received the following awards in football: two-time Defensive Player of the Year, three-time 1st Team All-Conference, three-time 1st Team All-District, and two-time All-Ohio 1st and 2nd Teams. He is a four-year member of the varsity basketball team and has received the following awards: two-time 2nd Team All-Conference and 3rd Team All-District. Isaiah is a four-year member of the varsity track and field team and has been a two-time league champ, two-time district champ, two-time regional champ, and a state qualifier in discus and shot put.
When asked to name a school staff person who inspires him, Isaiah named social studies teacher Tim Coudret.

“Mr. Coudret is an inspiration to me as he always brings energy to class. He looks out for his students and goes above and beyond to see them succeed. Mr. Coudret creates an interactive classroom allowing students to learn while being involved in their studies,” he said.

About Isaiah, Coudret stated, “Isaiah is such a great kid to have in class. His intelligence and work ethic are obvious, but what really sets Isaiah apart is an always positive attitude and an innate curiosity that lends itself to continued academic success. Whatever path Isaiah travels in the future, I have no doubt that it will be filled with accomplishment and achievement.”

After graduation, Isaiah will attend Indiana University to continue his academic and athletic career. He is the son of D.J. and Jen Jones of London.

The London Rotary Club has a proud history dating back to 1929. It is a member of Rotary International, a volunteer organization of 1.2 million businesses and professional leaders united worldwide to provide humanitarian service and help build good will and peace.
