Madison County is home to several food pantries and soup kitchens. See below for information about each one, including hours, requirements, locations, and services. Some have changed their processes to accommodate safety measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Food Thru Faith, 51 W. Center St. London, (740) 852-4735)
Open: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9-11:15 a.m. Families can receive food twice a month. Drive-through only.

Requirements: Must provide proof of London address/43140 zip code and copy of social security card for every family member.

HELP House Community Outreach, 122 E. Center St., London, (740) 852-1980
Open: Mondays, 4-7 p.m.; Wednesdays, 9 a.m.-noon; and Saturdays 9-11 a.m. Families can receive food once a week from the food pantry. Drive-through/walk-up only.

Loving Kindness Kitchen (Soup Kitchen) at HELP House Community Outreach, 122 E. Center St., London, (740) 852-1980

Open: Mondays, 5-6:30 p.m. Drive-through/walk-up only.

Requirements: None at this time.

Madison County Food Pantry, 137 Maple St., London, (740) 852-5822, ext. 1
Open: Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9-11:45 a.m. Families can receive food once a month. Drive-through only.

Requirements: None at this time.

London Church of the Nazarene, 224 Elm St., London (740) 852-3498:
A Blessing Box located in the church’s front yard is stocked with non-perishable food and toiletries and is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Welcome Table, St. Paul AME Church, 11 Center St., London
Open: Thursdays, 5-7 p.m., serving a nutritious meal carryout style.

Requirements: None

Good Samaritan Food Pantry, 36 S. Center St., West Jefferson, (614) 879-8130
Open: Wednesdays, 2-3 p.m.; Saturday, 10-11 a.m. Families can receive food twice a month.

Requirements: The food pantry serves anyone in the West Jefferson (43162) and Galloway (43119) areas. Bring a picture ID and a piece of current mail for proof of residency.

Mount Sterling Community Center, 164 E. Main St., Mount Sterling, (740) 869-2453
Open: Tuesdays, 4-7 p.m.; Thursdays, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Families can receive food once month.

Requirements: Only serving families with Mount Sterling addresses and/or who have an 869 phone exchange. Bring a current utility bill or current rent receipt, along with a picture ID.

Plain City Food Pantry, 156 W. Main St., Plain City, (614) 733-0909
Open: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:30-11:30 a.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m.-noon.
Requirements: Picture ID (with an address on it) and proof of income. Only serving families in the Jonathan Alder School District.
