Improvements to limit traffic on Demorest Road

The city of Grove City is making infrastructure improvements to Demorest Road north of the intersection at Southwest Boulevard.

Demorest Road will be closed to through traffic between Southwest and Big Run South Road, from March 10 to May 6, weather permitting. The project improvements include new turn lanes, traffic signal upgrades, curb ramp replacements and a new storm culvert.

Traffic and access to all properties and businesses along the project corridor will be maintained throughout the duration of the project. A well-marked detour utilizing Big Run South Road will route traffic around construction.

Drivers are encouraged to use extra care when traveling through the construction zone. The city will work in cooperation with the contractor to maintain traffic effectively.

Construction updates will be posted on the city website, and on the city’s Facebook and Twitter pages. For additional information, call the Grove City Public Service Department at 277-1100.
