The Christmas season in Madison County wouldn’t be complete without Madison Health’s two signature yuletide events–Lights of Love and Heartfelt Holidays.
Lights of Love
Though the hospital is in the midst of a major construction project, this annual tradition will go on. A 5:30 p.m. tree lighting ceremony at the Park Avenue Medical Building entrance, 55 Park Ave., London, will kick off the Nov. 30 event. The centerpiece is a newly planted 14-foot tall tree.
Following the lighting ceremony, guests are invited to enjoy Santa’s workshop, trolley rides, and refreshments from 6 to 8 p.m. inside the Park Avenue Medical Building.
Lights of Love is designed as a way to pay tribute to loved ones. Participants can choose to honor or remember someone by purchasing a light on the newly planted tree or sponsoring an illuminated sign displayed on the hospital lawn.
Proceeds go to the “Building on Excellence” campaign to help fund the construction of a new emergency department, cancer center and medical specialist offices on the hospital’s London campus.
Visit madisonhealthlightsoflove.com or call (740) 845-7050 to purchase a light or sign. The hospital Auxiliary and Foundation are the event co-sponsors.
The Madison Health Foundation will host its annual Heartfelt Holidays on Dec. 9 at Choctaw Lake Lodge, 2875 Oneida Dr., London. Hors d’oeuvres and dinner stations open at 5:30 p.m. The program, including music by the band, “Soul Express,” and live auction start at 7:30. Bluebird Retirement Community is the presenting sponsor.
Tickets are $85 per person. Go to www.madisonhealthheartfeltholidays.com or call the Foundation office at (740) 845-7050 to register and pay for tickets.
Proceeds go to the hospital’s “Building on Excellence” campaign.
