Hord files elections complaint

Brandon Hord, a candidate for Canal Winchester City Council, filed a formal complaint with the Ohio Elections Commission alleging that the Dublin based End Corruption Political Action Committee improperly operated in the state of Ohio.

The complaint states: “End Corruption PAC failed to register with the Ohio Secretary of State prior to making expenditures or independent expenditures in connection with the 2021 Canal Winchester City Council election in violation of R.C. 3517.107(B) and R.C. 3517.13(E)”

Hord claims the PAC spread false defamatory information about him in a mailer claiming that he worked at KEMBA while being investigated for bank fraud, but they did so while operating illegally in Ohio.

Hord said he “unequivocally denies these allegations as 100 percent false” and that he has never been investigated for bank fraud, which is mentioned in the official complaint as well.
