The Pickerington Lions Club has announced the locations of the six homes that will be featured on its Dec. 6 Lions Club Holiday Home Tour.

In choosing homes, the committee looked for a variety of architectural design, ages of the homes and styles of decorating.

The Lions Club also chose homes throughout the Pickerington area so that guests could enjoy holiday decorations as they travel from one area to another.

Pat Deskins, chairperson of the Home Tour Committee, said that "by popular demand" two of the homes from last year’s First Holiday Home Tour will be on the tour again this year.

The first of the two homes is the log cabin home located on Busey Road. It looks like a home from the 1800s but was built by the owners in 1993.

Elegantly decorated in period style, the home was a favorite of last year’s guests.

The second home is in Brentwood Farms and is that of one of the Lions Club members and has every inch of the two-story home decorated in many different themes and includes at least 12 large trees and many smaller ones.

A traditional one-story home on Circle Drive in Mingo Estates was chosen while a contemporary style Diyanni Model Home on Wildflower Drive in Winding Creek was chosen.

A home from Shawnee Crossing, just off of State Route 256 to the east of town, was a Parade of Homes house several years ago.  And, the final house is the home of Chairman Pat Deskins and her family in Cherry Hill.

The Lions Club Holiday Home Tour will be held on Dec. 6 in conjunction with the Olde Village Christmas held on Dec. 7 sponsored by the Olde Pickerington Village Business Association.

Hours of the tour will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased at B. J’s Bouquets, DaVinci’s Market Place, Deblin Design, the Pickerington Senior Center and the Embroidery Barn, from any Lions Club member or by calling (614) 837-4217.

Cost of the tickets is $10 and all proceeds go to the Lions Club Sight First II campaign to prevent blindness worldwide.
