(From left) Gregory King, Geoffrey King, Santa and Garrett King enjoy last year’s Breakfast With Santa, a fundraiser for the London Rotary Club. |
The London Rotary Club’s third annual Breakfast With Santa will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 8 at the Madison County Senior Center, 280 W. High St. in London. While Santa listens to children’s Christmas wishes and poses for photographs, Rotary volunteers will flip pancakes, grill sausage and serve it all with doughnuts, juice, milk and coffee.
The meals are $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 2 to 12. Tickets may be purchased at the door, from any Rotarian, or at London Public Library.
This year’s holiday gift raffle will feature five cash prizes. Raffle tickets are $5 each or $25 for six and may be purchased from any Rotary member or at the door.
Proceeds from the breakfast and other Rotary fundraisers go to the following projects:
o To support adult basic literacy education in London
o To stock local food pantries
o To staff A Friend’s House domestic violence shelter
o To provide scholarships and leadership training for London High School students
o To improve local health care facilities
o To eradicate polio throughout the world
o To sponsor international youth exchange programs
o To insure the future of Junior Achievement, 4-H and youth sports programs.
