This is a photo of the back side of the new Grove City High School Memorial at 3253 Park St. in Sesquicentennial Park. This black granite monument shows the building that served as Jackson Township’s first stand-alone high school from 1910-1928. Later it was Jackson Junior High. The Southwest Franklin County Historical Society raised funds to purchase the memorial. Members of the fund raising committee are (from left) Janet Shailer, Ruth Osbourne and Steve Jackson. Missing is Barb Howison. Visit the Grove City Welcome Center and Museum, 3378 Park St., for more information.
