On June 4 westside children got a treat at the Summer Lunch Kickoff Celebration at the Hilltop Library. Not only could they find a free lunch, the kids got to see snakes, turtles and even wolves. The Turtle Lady, Nancy Lockard was on hand with some of her favorite critters. Here, she shows off Creamsickle, a corn snake, and Pogo, a Salcata tortoise. Ironwood Wolves also made a visit to the library with a wolf ambassador. The library partnered with the Columbus Recreation and Parks for its Go Lunch initiative, which provides free lunch and snacks to children during the summer months when they are out of school.
