The local community came out to meet and greet those who put their lives on the line for others during a celebration for superheroes hosted by Visit Grove City on June 23. According to spokesperson Teresa Breckenridge, the mission of Superhero Night is to give children and adults the opportunity to interact with popular fictional characters who work to save the world as well as popular real-life individuals who work to save the local community as a part of the Grove City Division of Police and the Jackson Township Fire Department. “We wanted this to be a nice tribute – a real show of support – for all of the men and women who do everything they can to serve and protect us,” she said. In attendance at the event was 6-year-old Layla Richmond who said she was “super excited” to meet the area’s public safety defenders such as firefighters RJ Hall (left) and Lt. Rob Sneller.
