HELP House collecting school supplies, backpacks, and clothing

(Posted July 22, 2021)

One of the core services of H.E.L.P. House is to insure that area children, especially those whose families are struggling to make ends meet, have equal access to healthy food, clothing, and the necessities and opportunities that all children need to feel successful, prepared, and confident.

H.E.L.P. House’s annual back-to-school outreach provides children with school supplies and backpacks prior to the beginning of a new school year. This year’s distribution focuses on children in grades K-8 and will be held at H.E.L.P. House from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 14 and Aug. 21. Individuals and families should register for the event by Aug. 9.

Donation of school supplies, backpacks, and clothing are due to H.E.L.P. House by Aug. 9. Donations can be dropped off on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to noon, and Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m. Volunteers are needed to help with setup from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 11-12.
