Having a ball in Grove City

Hundreds of Grove City High School alumni gathered in Grove City over the July 30-31 weekend to participate in the annual alumni softball tournament, held at various ball fields throughout the city. This was the 40th year of the tournament that is called the “world’s largest” alumni softball event and featured approximately 90 teams of former Greyhounds. Here, Chelsea Robinson from the class of 2001 narrowly misses a throw by the opposing team.
Kendall Webber from the class of 2001 pitches for the game against the alternate 2001 women’s team.
Doug Shanyfelt from the 2004 alumni team put all of his strength into pitching against the 2013 team.
Dominic Marino, batting for the 2013 team, focuses as a ball soars his way from the 2004 team.
