Harlem Wizards have a little fun with rival player Merideth Shifley who broke from her normal role as Central Crossing math teacher and volleyball coach to be part of the Grove City Rotary Rocks team that took on the Wizards in a March 6 fund raiser at Grove City High School. The Rotary Rocks team was made up of South-Western City Schools District teachers and administrators. The third annual Harlem Wizards Tournament was sponsored by the Grove City Rotary Club.
When the Harlem Wizards needed help to get the job done, they recruited 11-year-old Theo Foutty of Hayes Intermediate School from the crowd. Foutty was able to get in the game and put some points on the board.
Space Jam, of the Harlem Wizards, led the crowd in post game activities after the March 6 game against the Grove City Rotary Rocks. Fans got plenty of chances to meet the players and pick up souvenirs.
The Werm goes in for a slam during the fundraising event.
