Groveport revenues are up

The village of Groveport’s 2008 income tax revenue collections continue to grow.

"The September deposit had a $23,503 increase over September 2007," said interim Village Administrator Ken Salak. "This is a 4.09 percent increase."

Income tax revenue collections for 2008 are $7.97 million compared to $6.89 million this time in 2007.

"Our year to date increase is 15.68 percent," said Salak.

The village has experienced positive income tax revenue growth in seven out of nine months so far this year, including three months when revenue topped the $1 million dollar mark.

Here is the breakdown of the village’s income tax receipts for the year:

•December (deposited January 2008): $934,879;

•January: $1,074,560;

•February: $662,029;

•March: $1,277,854;

•April: $1,526,117;

•May: $573,040;

•June: $775,686;

•July: $549,420; and

•August: $597,843.
