Groveport parade celebrates the Fourth of July

A large crowd lined Main Street for the city of Groveport’s annual Fourth of July parade, which included floats, music, and more. Pictured here following a vibrant blue and white display of balloons is the Madison Christian School Eagle mascot.
Madison Township firefighters served as the honor guard for the parade.
Several historic military vehicles from Motts Military Museum were featured n the parade, including this jeep driven by Motts Military Museum Director Warren Motts.
Free candy is a favorite of kids along the parade route.

The Groveport Madison High School Marching Band performed patriotic music.
Groveport Madison Cruiser cheerleaders brought their energy to the parade.
Groveport School (Groveport Elementary) is celebrating its 100th birthday on Aug. 5 from 1-3 p.m.
The Groveport Madison Area Community Choir float advertised the group’s British music themed concert to be held in February.
Tow trucks come in all sizes.
The Madison Christian Church float was decorated with an abundance of blue and white balloons.
The Groveport Heritage and Preservation Society is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
