Groveport Madison valedictorians and graduation news

The Groveport Madison High School class of 2016 valedictorians, from left to right, are: Marshall Buck, Faith Nimely, Frederik Bester, and Aeriana Vaughn. Each earned a grade point average of 4.0 or higher. Buck will study civil engineering at The Ohio State University. Nimely will start at Columbus State and then attend The Ohio State University to study accounting. Bester will study computer science at The Ohio State University. Vaughn will attend Denison University and major in creative writing. Approximately 320 students are expected to graduate in the class of 2016 with 166 expected to attend college and 26 plan to join the military. The class has been offered $1.1 million in scholarships. The graduation ceremony will be held June 3 at 7 p.m. at the Celeste Center on the State Fairgrounds in Columbus.
