Beyond preparing online lessons and monitoring their students’ progress, Groveport Elementary School teachers want to show their students they’re thinking about them during the extended break.
The teachers organized a car parade (with at least six feet between each car), and they will be driving through several neighborhoods in which their children live. They plan to honk their horns, wave signs, and cheer on their students to keep up with their lessons as the teachers are driving through various neighborhoods.
They will be leaving from Groveport Elementary School in Groveport, at 10 a.m. March 23. They will first go to Newport Village, then to Elmont Place, Founders Bend, and finish in the Willows Creek subdivision. Groveport Police will lead the car parade.
