Grove City High School alum named parks and recreation director

Jack Castle

Mayor Richard “Ike” Stage announced the appointment of Jack Castle as the director of the Grove City Parks and Recreation Department. Castle was hired to the position after the retirement of Kim Conrad.

Castle brings more than two decades of operational and management experience as past assistant director with the City of Columbus’ Recreation and Parks Department.

A lifelong resident and Grove City High School alum, Castle holds a bachelor of science in fitness and sports management from Ohio University and a master of science in sports administration from Eastern Kentucky University.

“Jack’s academic credentials, extensive professional experience, and personal involvement in the community make him well-prepared to lead Grove City’s Parks and Recreation Department,” said Stage.

“It’s truly an honor to serve the residents of my hometown,” said Castle. “I’m eager to work with the community and learn how together we can further improve our already exceptional parks and programs.”
