Greyhound runners go the distance

Grove City High School freshman Aubrey Smith closes in on the second place finish in the girls varsity class of the 48th annual Erin L. Nance Fall Distance Classic, held Oct. 1 at the London Country Club. Smith completed the 5K course with a time of 19:16.7 to earn the runner up spot among the 69 runners.
The Grove City girls varsity team posed for a photo during the cross country classic. Team members include (left to right) Aubrey Smith, Peyton Zelenak, Kaleigh Holmstrom, Sami Steinhausser, Kinsale McKinley, Brianna McCoy, and Kayla Huston. The team placed seventh at the event.
Grove City junior C.J. Southerington was feeling strong coming through the bridge during the cross country event at London Country Club on Oct. 1.
