The London Rotary Club is pleased to honor senior Rhyan Goodman as Madison-Plains High School’s February Student of the Month.
Students of the month are selected by school administrators based on their academic and extracurricular achievement and positive character.
Goodman has a 3.84 grade point average, and his favorite course is business communication. He has been in the marching band for three years and concert band for two years. He has been on the Quick Recall team for three years and helped lead the team to a league championship this year. He has been involved in NTHS, show choir, Key Club, and is a basketball cheerleader. He is a four-year member and national vice president of Business Professionals of America.
When asked to name a school staff member who inspires him, Goodman named business teacher Colleen Bennett.
“She gave up everything to help me succeed, and I hope to do the same for others,” he said.
About Goodman, Bennett said, “It has been a pleasure to watch Rhyan grow throughout the years. He is a strong-willed individual who has accomplished great achievements. No idea is too big for Rhyan. He has shown through hard work and dedication anything is possible!”
After graduation, Goodman plans to attend Ohio University and study management and strategic leadership. He is the son of Jennifer Goodman.
The London Rotary Club has a proud history dating back to 1929. It is a member of Rotary International, a volunteer organization of 1.2 million business and professional leaders united worldwide to provide humanitarian service and help build good will and peace.
