Hundreds of revelers (above) cover the lawn near Pickerington Central High School’s baseball diamond to celebrate Violet Township’s Bicentennial with a community picnic on Sept. 7. Although the picnic did not break the world record for highest number of picnickers, more than 1,200 people attended the event, making it a success, organizers said.
