On May 23 at 4:30 p.m., the Groveport Madison Board of Education will host informal “Meet & Greets” with the three finalists interested in filling the district’s superintendent vacancy at the district administration office, 4400 Marketing Place.
The board invites staff and community members to attend the Meet & Greet sessions. Participants are welcome to ask questions of the each of the finalists. The schedule for the sessions is as follows:
4:30 – 5:30 p.m. John Hurd
5:45 – 6:45 p.m. Carl Metzger
7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Garilee Ogden
“This is a great opportunity for the community and District staff to meet the three finalists for the superintendent’s position,” said Chris Mohr, President of K12 Consulting, Inc., the firm leading the superintendent search. “In order for participants to get a good feel for the candidates, they should attend all three sessions. Participants will not be voting on their preferred candidate, but they will be invited to complete a feedback form, which will be shared with the board.”
Following each Meet & Greet session with the community, the candidate will participate in their final interview with the board. Based on the published schedule, the board expects to have their selection by May 30, with the new superintendent slated to begin on or before Aug. 1, 2018.
