The competition consists of cheerleaders in grades K-6. Each squad performs a routine including a cheer, a crowd participation chant, and a choreographed dance.
The GEYSA flag cheerleading squad (grades K-2) placed second in their division. The squad received a trophy to be displayed in their school trophy case at Madison Plains.
One cheerleader from each school and grade was selected to participate in the competition’s “jump off.” GEYSA’s jump off medalists were: kindergarten, Izzy Zerkle, third place; first grade, Layla Swartz, third place; and second grade, Emerson Blunt, third place.
