The Grove City High School band booster’s annual Spring Bazaar has been rescheduled to April 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and April 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It was rescheduled due to the snow storm the weekend of March 7.

"This is our 22nd straight year for the Spring Bazaar," said event chairperson, Bill Morrow. "It’s not going to be cancelled on my watch. There are too many people who look forward to this event year after year."

The event is being held at Grove City High School, 4665 Hoover Road.  Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for senior citizens, and children under 12 are free.

"We have vendors coming from all over the state," said Morrow.

The bazaar features a wide variety of hand-made custom items, ranging from quilts, crafts, and artwork, to games and novelties.

"There’s just about anything you can imagine, and the quality of the merchandise is truly remarkable," said Morrow.

A new twist to this year’s event is the addition of a health fair and blood drive on Saturday, and a performance by the Grove City High School jazz band on Sunday.

As is customary, the boosters will have breakfast and lunch goodies for sale.

Fund-raising events, such as the Spring Bazaar, help to support the Grove City High School Instrumental Music Program. In addition to several fall contests, in January 2009, the Grove City High School marching band will travel to Phoenix, Ariz. to perform in the Fiesta Bowl Parade.
