Grove City Mayor Ike Stage and City Administrator Sharon Reichard have named Donald Walters the community and business relations officer for the city.

Walters will serve as a liaison among the residents, businesses, organizations and the city. His duties will include communicating important information while encouraging creative input from residents for the city’s staff and city council.

"Donald Walters has committed to enhancing the sense of ‘community’ and ‘safety’ that Grove City residents currently enjoy," said Reichard. "He will work to leverage these benefits to assist the development department in attracting new businesses to Grove City and expanding existing businesses," she added.

Walters served with Huntington National Bank for 25 years. His duties as senior vice president included marketing director and director of the bank’s community centered banking program.

"This private-sector experience in marketing community-related activities makes Don uniquely suited to help sell our community," said Stage.
