The West Jefferson Community Association held its 59th annual Senior Citizen Christmas Party on Dec. 14 at West Jefferson High School. More than 190 seniors and their guests were treated to a turkey dinner and entertainment provided by the high school jazz band. Santa called out each guest’s name; each guest received a gift bag.

Ox Roast Queen Nancy Ganter, Ox Roast first attendant Kylah Blanchard, and members of the high school’s National Honor Society distributed door prizes. Members of the boys’ soccer team helped to escort guests into and out of the party. Sandy Booth and Mike Gilbert were named the Christmas party queen and king. A photo booth was part of the fun, as well.
