Lockbourne Fish Fry volunteers John McJunkin (left) and Wade Howell (right) prepare a pan of fish for hungry diners, who include firefighters, military personnel and people from throughout the area. The village held its first fish fry fundraiser on March 18 and 19 since COVID-19 shut down the events last year. Held in the village’s Historic Hall—a former schoolhouse and Masonic lodge—which is undergoing a complete restoration to bring the structure back to its late 1800s appearance, the fish frys benefit the Lockbourne community.
