John Moseley receives a kiss from Kiki, a blue and gold macaw, during the Festival of Friends organized by Friends for Life Animal Haven and held June 23 at the Canal Winchester High School football field. Moseley is with In The Nest, a bird group dedicated to helping birds. He and his wife care for 29 birds at home. All but four are rescue birds that needed a loving home. All proceeds from the Festival of Friends went directly to the care and placement of rescued animals in the Central Ohio area. Friends for Life Animal Haven is a nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue group, founded in Canal Winchester in 1993.
