Madison County Public Health and Rocking Horse Community Health Center are offering free, drive-through COVID-19 testing in partnership with the Ohio National Guard and Mako Medical.

Hours and dates are 10 a.m. to noon on Nov. 6, Nov. 13 and Nov. 20. The testing site is located at the Molly Caren Agricultural Center (home of the Farm Science Review), 135 State Rte. 38, London.

Anyone can get a free test at this location. No doctor’s order or appointment is needed, but pre-registration is encouraged. To pre-register, call (740) 845-1756; it only takes five minutes. There is no cost for a test and no insurance information is collected.

“We want to ensure that any Madison County resident can get tested when needed,” said Madison County Health Commissioner Chris Cook. “Our goal is that anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 or those who think they may have been exposed to a case or someone with symptoms will get tested. There is not a more convenient option than from your own vehicle, especially for those who are elderly or parents of children.”

Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

Test results are expected to be received within two to three days. Anyone who is tested can view their results online using information provided at the testing clinic.

Anyone visiting the testing clinic is asked to enter the grounds from U.S. Route 40, drive slowly, remain in their car and stay in their lane. Everyone in the car is required to wear a mask until a healthcare professional asks them to lower it for testing.
