Food for thought

Traditional community church dinners bring people together to share food and companionship. Several churches in Groveport have held such dinners over the years and one of the longest running of these eating get togethers is the Groveport Presbyterian Church’s spaghetti dinner. This year, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic thwarted efforts to hold the gathering inside the church as usual. However, the church members were not to be deterred and still offered the spaghetti dinner on Nov. 7 as carry-out only. Cars filled with hungry drivers lined up at the church to obtain their tasty spaghetti dinners. Sights like this reassure a community that, even though we are in a pandemic, we will not let COVID-19 tamp down our community spirit.
