Chris Fraley, a 10-year-veteran of the Jackson Township Fire Department, tends to the pink beauty caladiums during the Professional Firefighters Local 2672 annual flower sale. The proceeds from the five-day floral event go directly toward supporting programs such as Safety Town, a comprehensive educational program for children that provides lessons in personal safety. Fraley said the department was unable to host Safety Town last year due to the pandemic but expects more than 200 children to participate when it is held June 14-18 and June 21-25. He said Local 2672 spends roughly $10,000 to run the program with some contributions from the township and the city of Grove City.
