Fire in Groveport’s Westport subdivision

Madison Township Fire Chief Robert Bates said the fire started around 9 a.m. and firefighters contained the blaze in about 40 minutes. Bates said no one was hurt and the cause of the fire is under investigation. He said there is smoke damage throughout the home and significant fire damage to one end of the home including a partial roof collapse.
