The city of Canal Winchester is soliciting public review and feedback on the draft release of the Canal Winchester Community Plan – an ambitious policy document that will inform development decisions in the city and shape the community for decades to come.
Comments can be submitted electronically at www.cwgrowingtogether.com.
The city and its steering committee kicked off the process of developing a plan in June 2022.With the assistance of McKenna, a consulting firm specializing in community planning and design, the city created a plan that addresses current needs while facilitating sustainable growth. Topics include land use, economic development, and public utilities and services, to name a few.
The draft plan will also be reviewed by the Canal Winchester Planning & Zoning Commission during a workshop on Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. Individuals wishing to share feedback in person may do so at the start of the meeting. Canal Winchester City Council will review the plan at its Oct. 30 committee of the whole meeting at 6 p.m. Additional opportunities for public, in-person feedback will be available during the city council adoption process.
