Falcons and Bruins faced off on Friday night

The Franklin Heights Golden Falcons came out ready to play for their Sept. 13 match-up with their westside neighbor Briggs. The Falcons had a 34-6 lead at the end of the first quarter and upped it to 46 at half-time. The Bruins came out strong in the third quarter and held Heights scoreless and put seven points on the board. In the fourth quarter they outscored them 12-8 but Franklin Heights still came away with a 53-26 win.
Ray McDonald took a pass from sophomore quarterback Jeffery Beverly and ran it in for a 43-yard touchdown.
Briggs sophomore running back David Downs rushed for two touch downs and 162 yards on 25 carries to lead all yardage in the losing effort against Franklin Heights.
