London sweeps ambassador contest
The winners of the 2007 Madison County Junior Fair Ambassador competition were: (from left) Christine Eades of the Jumpers and Flyers 4-H Club; Blair Calloway of the Monroe Winners 4-H Club; Fair Queen Elizabeth Lynch of the Green Range 4-H Club; and Darcey Reed of the Jumpers and Flyers 4-H Club. All hail from London. Lynch also was named Beef Queen for this year’s fair. These young women will represent Madison County for the next year at fairs throughout Ohio.

One-ring circus!
Decked out in polka dots, a wig, and really big shoes, 13-year-old Molly Holt and her lion (a.k.a. “Duke” the Alpine goat) strut their stuff under the big top (a.k.a. the fairgrounds’ sheep arena). Holt, a member of the Fairfield Rascals 4-H Club, was among the entrants in the junior division of the fair’s Dress Up Your Goat contest.
