The Southeastern Franklin County Chamber of Commerce will hold its eighth annual Chamber Business Expo and Dinner on Jan. 25 from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Berwick Party House, 3250 Refugee Road.
"The Expo showcases the businesses in the Chamber and gives the community a one stop shop to find out about what’s available and what the businesses have to offer," said Southeast Chamber Executive Director Susan Brobst.
More than 45 Chamber businesses will participate in the event (see sidebar) with displays, giveaways and information – and it’s all free.
"That’s right, free," said Brobst. "The Expo is open to everyone in the community. There’s no need to belong to the Chamber and no reservations are required to attend the Expo. Community residents are invited to attend and learn more about what’s in your backyard. While there, they can ask about specific Chamber member benefits, sign up for numerous drawings and networking opportunities. There will be a lot of freebies from the vendors."
New to the Expo this year is the "Business Word Search" puzzle contest featuring names of Chamber businesses where the winner will be eligible to win a $1,000 prize. (The word search will appear in future editions of the Southeast Messenger.)
Completed word searches must be turned in at the Expo on Jan. 25. You must be age 18 or older to enter and only one entry per person will be accepted. The winner will be drawn from the correctly completed and verified submitted word search forms.
"There will also be various raffles offered by the vendors," added Brobst. "Participate in our silent auction and you’ll have an opportunity to bid on several overnight stays at area hotels, jewelry, memberships to area recreation facilities and much more."
Premiere Partners for the Expo include Huntington Bank, Canal Banking Center, National City Bank, Eastland Mall, Anthem, Southeast Messenger and KeyBank.
