Events at Houston Library in South Charleston

Houston Library, 5 W. Jamestown St., South Charleston, is hosting the following programs. For more information, call (937) 462-8047.

  • Lego Club. 3:30-4:30 p.m. Sept. 14. For school-aged children. Bring a friend and your imagination and have a great time building a one-of-a-kind creation.
  • Genealogy Club. 10 a.m. Sept. 16. For Adults. Researchers of all skill levels are welcome to join Patsy Renfro for advice on genealogy research. Laptops will be available for use or participants can bring their own devices. If this date and time is not convenient for you or you need more help, you can request a one-on-one genealogy session by calling the branch manager at (937) 462-8047.
  • Fall Storytime. 11 a.m. Thursdays, Sept. 17-Dec. 10 (except Thanksgiving). For ages 2-4 and their parents/caregivers. Fun stories, singing, games and a take-home craft project are planned.
  • After-school Movie. 4 p.m. Sept. 22. For families. Watch “Russell Madness” (PG), a movie about an undersized but big-hearted terrier who dreams of having a family of his own. The library will provide snacks, or attendees can bring their own.
