Employees at a local township will see an increase in pay this year. At a recent Prairie Township meeting, the board approved increasing the pay of all non-union employees.
Prairie Township Administrator Rob Peters asked the board to approve pay increases of between 2.5 to 5 percent.
“These increase options are for all eligible full-time, non-union staff and permanent/daily part-time employees,” Peters said.
The board approved a 3.75 percent increase for the employees.
Michael Pollack, director of the Prairie Township Community Center, also asked the board to approve a pay increase for employees.
“Minimum wage is increasing from $8.80 an hour to $9.30 an hour,” Pollack said. “I’m also asking for a 5 percent pay increase for select employees.”
The board also approved adjusting the pay of the part-time zoning assistant from $14 to $15 an hour.
