The following are among the pets up for adoption at the Humane Society of Madison County. If you are interested in adopting a pet, fill out an application online at www.hsmcohio.org or call the shelter at (614) 879-8368.

Eclipse
Eclipse came to the shelter as a stray. The staff believes she is about 7 years old. This petite girl is as sweet and as playful as they come. She can be found in her kennel at the shelter, playing with her toys or sunbathing, but mostly she wants someone to love on her. She will talk your ear off for any love she can get.
She would spend all day in your lap if you let her. Just being with people makes her the happiest kitty in the world. Eclipse also enjoys the company of other cats, but she likes to be the boss. She is a very sweet, gentle cat who is looking for that home where she can get all the love she desires.
Adoption fees for cats are $60 for kittens and $35 for cats older than 11 months. The fee includes:a FeLV/FIV test, spay or neuter, set of shots, de-worming, and a one-year rabies shot (if old enough). All fees are cash only.

Milly
Milly arrived at the shelter on Aug. 20, 2020. The staff believes she is a terrier mix and about one year old. She weighs about 50 pounds. Milly has a lot of energy, so it would be best if she went to an active home to help her burn off that extra energy. She loves to play and roughhouse, so it would be best if the children in the home were older so they could handle her strength.
Milly seems to like more submissive dogs as she wants to be the alpha of the pack. The shelter staff has worked with Milly on leash-training and manners. Milly is very smart girl who continues to keep learning. The staff isn’t sure how Milly is with the kitties, but they imagine she would chase them. She is a fun-loving girl who would add a new adventure to your home.
Adoption fees for dogs are as follows: shelter dogs, $150; prison dogs, $200; puppies, $250; popular pure-breeds, $400. The price includes: a Home Again microchip, shots, deworming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a one-year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs that are adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $17. All fees are cash only.
Needed Supplies
The shelter would welcome donations of clumping cat litter, soft dog treats, and small bags of cat treats.
