Dogs go for dip in the pool

The West Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department hosted a doggie swim on Aug. 20 to close out this year’s pool season. Residents were invited to bring their pooches for some splashing-around fun.

Cash, an Australian shepherd-golden retriever mix, shows good form as he dives into the pool in chase of a tennis ball to retrieve.

Moose, Gunner, Nova, JoJo, Skye, Roxie, Max, Brownie, Ranger, Daisy, Flynn, Chase, Maisey, Sven, Maverick, Sarge, Zoie and Cash were just some of the dogs of all breeds and sizes to enjoy the West Jefferson doggie swim.
Max, a German Shepherd, swims back to the pool edge with the throw toy he retrieved in the West Jefferson swimming pool.
