St. Patrick School and Parish in London will hold its second annual dinner and auction on April 19 at Choctaw Lake Lodge. Tickets are $50 each. The theme for the evening is “Under the Big Top.”
The 2007 event, themed “A Night on the Serengeti,” raised $34,000. All proceeds are earmarked for construction of a recreation center at St. Patrick School to benefit not only the school but the entire community.
More than 220 people attended last year’s fundraiser and enjoyed three chances to participate in auction activities: the raffle of chance, silent auction and live auction. The same activities are back on the agenda this year, refreshed with loads of special live and silent auction items that range from sporting event tickets, dinners at local restaurants, gaming systems, sports and movie memorabilia, home décor items, shopping sprees and vacation packages.
The evening will start with a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m. at which time event-goers can browse the silent auction items and begin placing their bids. Last year, over 200 silent auction lots were available, and this year promises to be just as plentiful.
Tickets may be purchased at the school office, 226 Elm St., or the parish office, 61 S. Union St. Call 740-852-0161.
