Friday Night Lights – sponsored by Fitness Firm, Berry’s Barbells and Fitness Equipment and Camtrey Vinyl Graphics – was a combine style event where players performed bench presses, a 40 yard dash, broad jump, and agility drills under the lights in front of fans at Canal Winchester High School’s Mike Locke Stadium.

Canal Winchester varsity assistant football coach Brent Palsgrove came up with the idea for Friday Night Lights after seeing other schools conduct similar events.
“It’s a chance to showcase to the community our young men’s abilities and to show how hard they work and the results of that hard work,” said Palsgrove. “It’s also a chance to see how the players perform under pressure in front of fans under the lights.” He said the Canal Winchester Indian football program is striving to improve and get ready to face tough Ohio Capital Conference competition this fall.
