Canal Winchester residents Ashley Schuh and her son, one-and-a-half-year-old Bennett, watch the electric trains chug through a display of holiday scenery during Canal Winchester’s Christmas in the Village, held Dec. 6 and 7 in downtown Canal Winchester. Although, the family resides in Canal Winchester this was their first time attending the holiday event.
Lilly Freistat, 11, and Ryan Freistat, 9, have attended Christmas in the Village in Canal Winchester for many years now. Many iconic Christmas characters attended the event on Dec. 6 including Santa Claus, the Grinch, Frosty the Snowman, and Mr. and Mrs. Gingerbread man. Here the Freistats pose with Mr. and Mrs. Gingerbread man to capture another happy year of their family attending the event.
Jeff Petercsak uses a chain saw to demonstrate how to carve designs into blocks of ice at the annual storybook Christmas celebration Christmas in the Village in Canal Winchester on Friday, Dec. 6. Petercsak, is a certified ice carver for Rock On Ice and has been carving for over 10 years. Snoopy sitting on top of a present is one of the many holiday designs that he crafted out of ice at this event.
