CW announces its athletic hall of fame inductees

Canal Winchester High School has announced its 25th Class of Inductees into the Athletic Hall of Fame and Award of Merit Program.

The Hall of Fame inductees are:

•Larry Landis, 1959-63 – football, basketball, baseball, track;

•Jodi Klamfoth, 1978–2017 – cheerleading coach;

•Amy Logsdon Shreve, 1984-88 – cross country.

The Award of Merit Recipient is: A.B. Weiser, Canal Winchester superintendent 1918-49.

Drew Dosch, a 2016 Inductee, will also be recognized as he was playing in a professional baseball game last year and was unable to attend the ceremony.

Induction will take place at the Canal Winchester vs. Teays Valley varsity football game on Sept. 8. The banquet will start at 5:30 p.m. with a “Meet & Greet.” Dinner begins at 6 p.m. with speeches to follow.

The community is invited to attend both the induction and banquet ceremonies. Reservations are needed for the dinner by Aug. 19.
