The Groveport Madison Middle School 7th grade girls basketball team recently won what is believed to be its first title in about 30 years. The team finished 11-3 and won the Southwestern District 7th grade girls basketball tournament. “I was lucky to have a great group of girls this season,’ said Coach Jim Muessig. “The girls really bonded as teammates and friends.They enjoyed practicing as well as playing the games. All the girls showed individual improvement and as a result the team improved probably playing our best basketball at the end of the season.
