The 14th Annual Plain City Classic Car Cruise-In is set for Aug. 27.
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., vintage vehicles will line Main and Chillicothe streets. Goody bags go to the first 100 entries. The first 150 receive dash plaques. Returning are the 50/50 raffle and a prize raffle for gift certificates and gift baskets.
Award categories are top 50, entrants’ choice, people’s choice and best of show. All vehicles are welcome. As is tradition for this show, some awards are handmade by local talent. Registration runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the day of the show with a fee of $13. To save a few bucks, register in advance for $10. Online registration can be found at www.uptownplaincity.com and ends at noon Aug. 23. Registration forms can also be printed, completed and brought to the registration desk the day of the event before 2 p.m.
There is no fee for spectators, and all visitors, registrants and spectators are eligible to enter the raffle drawings.
For the hungry and thirsty, food trucks are back this year, plus the addition of a beer and wine garden. Among the food offerings are Pitabilities, Timmy’s Meltdown, Kooky’s Cookies, Skyward Grill, Dan’s Deli, Barley 31, Miller’s Olde Fashioned Ice Cream, Ol’ 42 Grubhouse and Plain City Pub. Deejay Tim Arledg will spin classic tunes.
