County offers low cost rabies clinic in PT

The Franklin County Board of Health, Columbus Public Health and the Columbus Academy of Veterinary Medicine are holding a rabies immunization clinic on Aug. 17 at the Pleasant Township Fire Department, 5373 Norton Rd. from 1 to 3 p.m.

The cost is $6 per shot, cash only and no appointment is necessary. All animals must be on a leash or in an animal carrier. Animals that are between three months and one year of age will receive a one-year vaccination. Pets over one year with proof of current vaccination will receive a three-year vaccination (please bring prior certificates and tags).

All dogs, cats and ferrets in Franklin County are required to be vaccinated and are required to wear their rabies tags. The clinic is open to all Franklin County residents.
