Colton Overly, 11, was the winner of the Corn-on-the-Cob eating contest held at the Prairie Township Community Center during a special Farmer’s Market event on Sept. 10. Overly managed to eat three ears of corn in one minute. He and his mother, Heather, discussed his strategy prior to the competition. Heather said, “We discussed if Colton should eat it in a row, like a typewriter or round and round.”
