Groveport City Council and Groveport Mayor Lance Westcamp showed their support at their March 27 meeting for Kyle and Madison Nester by purchasing and wearing #TEAMNESTER t-shirts from the Groveport Madison High School softball team. The Cruiser softball team is donating the proceeds from the sale of the shirts towards helping out Groveport Madison High School students Kyle and Madison Nester. Both parents of Kyle, 18, and Madison, 15, passed away in the past few months. Kyle, who will graduate this June, is seeking legal guardianship of his sister so he can raise her and to enable her to continue to attend Groveport Madison Schools. The softball team is selling the shirts for a donation of $10. All proceeds go to the Nester family. The varsity softball team is also holding a #TEAMNESTER game on April 10 at 5:15 p.m. vs. Big Walnut at Groveport Elementary. Kyle and Madison Nester will throw out the first pitch. The team’s hope is to surround the field with fans wearing #TEAMNESTER shirts. Email chris.downing@gocruisers.org to order a shirt. Family and friends have also set up GoFundMe accounts to help the Nesters with expenses and education funding.
